The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has reaffirmed his commitment to the education of officers’ children and the welfare of personnel and their families.
Marwa gave the assurance on Friday, October 30, 2026, during a working visit to the newly established NDLEA Command School at the Agency’s barracks in Yola, Adamawa State, where he inspected facilities and interacted with pupils, students and staff.
Addressing the pupils, the NDLEA boss urged them to embrace discipline, punctuality and academic excellence, stressing the importance of hard work, respect for parents and teachers, and devotion to God. He also warned them against illicit drug use, describing its avoidance as non-negotiable.
He assured the school community that the Agency would continue to support the development of the pioneering institution to ensure it delivers quality education and becomes one of the leading schools in the country.
During the visit, Marwa also met with members of the NDLEA Officers’ Wives Association and other residents of the barracks. The women commended him for establishing the school, describing it as a significant investment in their children’s education and future.
Marwa thanked them for their support and reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of officers and their families. He also disclosed that plans were at an advanced stage to inaugurate the Officers’ Wives Association, which would provide a formal platform for officers’ spouses to collaborate on initiatives promoting the well-being of the NDLEA community.
