The Lagos State Police Command has uncovered a sophisticated indoor cannabis farm in Apapa and arrested two suspects, including a 49-year-old Polish national.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, adding that Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai visited the property to inspect the facility and assess the scale of the operation.

The suspects, identified as Thomas Razvickas, 49, and James Chisome, 36, a Nigerian, were arrested at about 8:15 a.m. on November 2, 2026, during an intelligence-led operation at a residential property.

The facility was reportedly equipped for the cultivation, harvesting and processing of substances suspected to be cannabis. Both suspects, who lived at the property, are in police custody and have allegedly made confessional statements, while providing information to assist investigations.

Fatai commended the operatives for acting on credible intelligence and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to dismantling drug production networks and preventing criminals from using Lagos as a base for their activities.

He also urged residents to support security agencies by reporting suspicious activities, assuring that intelligence-led operations would be sustained across the state.

Police said investigations were ongoing to establish the full extent of the alleged operation and identify other possible accomplices.
