AEDC Explains Current Low Power Supply In Abuja

The Management of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), has attributed the current low power supply in its franchise area to insufficient power in the national grid.

AEDC disclosed that the development was caused by insufficient power allocation to FCT due to Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) 330KV Gwagwalada-Apo line limitation.

The company in a Public Notice apologised to its valued customers for the unstable power supply experienced in recent times.

“We have been constrained to implement load curtailment in the affected area. We understand the inconvenience this has caused our customers and sincerely apologize for this disruption”, the company said.

It assures that it’s working diligently to minimise the impact of the outages and collaborating with all its stakeholders to improve the situation within the shortest possible time.

AEDC said, it would continue to update the customers on the situation and provide any necessary information as it becomes available.
