APC Welcomes Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno

The National Working Committee of All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has welcomed the defected
Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Umo Eno into the party.

APC, in a statement on Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, Esq., expressed confidence that his thoughtful decision would lead to greater progress of Akwa Ibom state and the people.

“Our great Party assures the Governor of its fullest cooperation and accommodation in the APC family, as we continue to grow the Party and work together towards the full realization of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the good and benefit of all Nigerians,” PDP said.

Governor Eno officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday.

He explained that the decision followed three months of extensive consultations with political leaders and key stakeholders across the state.

While thanking the PDP for its support during his time in office, Governor Eno noted that the move was in the interest of the good people of Akwa Ibom state.

“I have completed a wide consultation as your elected servant, and I have decided to progressively move to the APC,” he said.

Eno expressed admiration for President Bola Tinubu and the desire to align the state with the federal government to ensure continued access to development opportunities.

He assured of his unwavering commitment to serving the people and the state irrespective of political affiliation.
