The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, said the exercise is aimed at strengthening public safety, improving intelligence gathering and preventing criminals from using unregistered or improperly identified vehicles to perpetrate crimes.

He explained that the operation is a proactive crime-prevention measure and not an attempt to inconvenience law-abiding residents.

The Commissioner urged vehicle owners to regularise their documentation and ensure that approved registration number plates are properly displayed at all times to avoid sanctions.

He further assured members of the public that the enforcement exercise would continue to be conducted professionally and fairly, with due regard for citizens’ rights.

The Command reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property and thanked residents for their cooperation in supporting efforts to enhance security across the state.
