The Adeosun family has announced the passing of Mr. Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun, husband of the former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, at the age of 62.
In a statement signed by Reverend C. A. Adeosun, on behalf of the Family, Niyi was described as a distinguished businessman and a devoted Christian whose integrity, generosity, and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew him.
The statement said Niyi who was called home to glory on Tuesday, 5th August 2026, in Lagos, lived a life defined by hard work, service to God, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.
He is survived by his wife, former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun; his cherished children; and his siblings, including Mr. Adewale (Wale) Adeosun, Founder of Kuramo Capital, along with a host of other family members, friends, and associates who mourn his passing.
The family requested privacy during this difficult period as it grieved the irreplaceable loss. It said the details of the funeral and Christian burial arrangements would be communicated in due course.
“We thank all who have reached out with prayers, condolences, and support, may his gentle soul rest in perfect peace in the bosom of the Lord,” the statement said.
