The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says candidates who had previously uploaded their O’Level results did not need to re-upload their results or obtain a verification code again.
JAMB Spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin announced this in a statement on Thursday.
Benjamin said the Board received numerous complaints from candidates, particularly those who uploaded their O’Level results during registration, after the release of the WAEC results, or in previous years under the old process.
“A major question being repeatedly asked is whether such candidates are required to re-upload their results or obtain a verification code under the new system.
“The Board wishes to clarify that all candidates who have previously uploaded their O’Level results do not need to re-upload their results or obtain a verification code again. This applies to candidates who uploaded their results during the current registration exercise, those who uploaded after the release of the WAEC results, as well as candidates who uploaded their results in previous years”, he said.
The JAMB Spokesperson emphasised that all O’Level results uploaded through the old process remain valid and will continue to be recognised on the Board’s platform. Candidates in this category were therefore not required to take any further action regarding the verification code.
“The new verification process is designed to further strengthen the integrity of O’Level results and ensure that no falsified result is accepted into the admission process. For candidates whose results were uploaded under the previous process, the results already available on the Board’s portal remain valid and will be subjected to the appropriate verification process by the institutions where necessary.
“Candidates are therefore advised not to panic or make unnecessary repeat uploads of their O’Level results simply because they were uploaded before the introduction of the new verification arrangement”, he said.
The Board therefore assured all affected candidates that their previously uploaded results remain valid and will be available for consideration in the admission process, subject to the required verification by the respective institutions.
