JAMB: Ogun CP Inspects CBT Centres, Assures Tight Security

The Ogun State Police Command has intensified security measures around Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres as the ongoing Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations continue across the state.

The Command’s spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed on Friday, that the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, alongside the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Bolanle Muritala, conducted an inspection of selected CBT centres to assess security deployment, with a strong focus on the safety and protection of candidates.

TheFact Daily notes that the inspection aligns with the broader commitment of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to safeguard examination processes nationwide. The Force has repeatedly assured the public of robust security arrangements for major national examinations, including JAMB, as part of its mandate to protect lives and property.

During the visit, CP Ojajuni expressed satisfaction with the professionalism and alertness of officers on duty, stressing that the Command remains committed to ensuring a safe, calm, and conducive environment for all candidates. He reassured parents, guardians, and other stakeholders of adequate security coverage throughout the examination period, while urging candidates to remain orderly and cooperate with security personnel for a hitch-free exercise.
