Maiduguri Floods:Buratai Foundation Commiserates With Borno Govt, People

The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation has expressed profound sympathy towards the government and people of Borno State, particularly those affected by the recent catastrophic flooding in Maiduguri.

In a statement released to the press on Tuesday, signed by the Chairman of the Foundation, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani Sadaukin Garkuwan Keffi/Betara Biu, the organization conveyed its deepest condolences to the victims of this natural disaster.

TheFac Daily notes that the Foundation’s heartfelt message comes in response to the alarming images and reports emerging from the region, highlighting the devastating impact of the floods in the Borno State Capital .

“Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time,” the statement read, urging relevant authorities and compassionate individuals to mobilize support and assistance for those in need.

The Foundation’s Grand Patron, Amb Lt Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai Rtd. has also expressed his deep concern over the plight of the flood victims.

In a separate message, he commiserated with the government and the resilient people of Borno State, especially those who have suffered losses due to the floods.

“May you find the strength and resilience to overcome these challenges, and may Borno State quickly recover from this tragedy,” Buratai stated, emphasizing the urgent need for collective action and support during this trying time.

“The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation calls upon all stakeholders to unite in providing the necessary aid to the affected areas, ensuring that relief efforts are swift and effective.

“As Maiduguri grapples with the consequences of this devastating event, the Foundation stands in solidarity with the victims, advocating for a coordinated response that will facilitate recovery and restore hope to those impacted by the floods”, Buratai said.
