Max Air Refunded N182m To 956 Passengers In Q2- NCAA

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has disclosed that domestic airline, Max Air, refunded a total of N182.1 million to 956 passengers during the second quarter of 2026, urging the carrier to speed up the processing of refund requests in line with existing regulations.

According to the aviation regulator, on Tuesday via their official X handle, Max Air paid out N182,099,018.88 in ticket refunds between April and June 2026.

The NCAA acknowledged the airline’s efforts in settling passengers’ claims but stressed the need for faster resolution of refund requests in accordance with the provisions of Part 19 of the NCAA Regulations 2023.

“The refund of N182,099,018.88 to 956 passengers in the second quarter of 2026 is appreciated and acknowledged. We look forward to quicker resolution of passenger refund claims in line with Part 19 of the NCAA Regulations 2023,” the authority said.

The regulator reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that airlines comply with consumer protection regulations designed to safeguard passengers’ rights while promoting fairness across the aviation industry.

It added that it would continue to monitor operators’ compliance with the regulations, noting that the authority remains committed to protecting “the rights and responsibilities of passengers, operators, and all stakeholders.”
