NUJ FCT Council Mourns Former Chairman, Osadebamwen

The immediate past Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, Comrade Patrick Osadebamwen, has died, the Council announced late on Saturday.

A statement signed by the Council’s Secretary, Comrade Jide Oyekunle, said the news of Osadebamwen’s death was received with sadness after being confirmed by his friends.

During his career, the late journalist worked with the Union Newspaper, Core TV, The Nigerian Tribune, and Kaftan TV, before joining the online news platform Interceptng.com.

He also rose to serve as Chairman of the NUJ FCT Council.
Osadebamwen hailed from Ekiadolor in the Ovia Southwest area of Edo State and is survived by three children.

The NUJ FCT Council extended its condolences to his family, colleagues, friends, and associates, praying that God grants them the strength to bear the loss.

The Council also urged members of the Union to keep the family in their prayers and to pray for the repose of his soul as burial arrangements are being finalised.
