The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced designated pick up points for people seeking to obtain its Go-Cashless cards ahead of the March 1, 2026 deadline for the commencement of its cashless operations.
FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
The Authority said the cards are currently available at all FAAN commercial offices and access gates across airports nationwide.
FAAN also disclosed that the Go-Cashless cards will be available at designated branches of Fidelity Bank Plc beginning March 16, 2026, to further ease access for airport users.
According to the statement, the initiative is in line with a Federal Government directive mandating all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to transition to a cashless system.
The policy is aimed at enhancing transparency, reducing revenue leakages, and improving transaction traceability across government institutions.
The Authority reiterated its commitment to full compliance with the directive and appealed to airport users and other stakeholders for understanding and cooperation during the transition period.
FAAN clarified that although the March 1 deadline marks the official take-off of the cashless regime, the Go-Cashless cards will continue to be available at designated points beyond that date.
According to the agency, the move is expected to promote faster, safer and more convenient transactions across airports nationwide, while strengthening accountability in revenue collection.
