The Nigeria Police Force has arraigned three suspects before the Federal High Court in Abuja over an alleged $100,000 fraud involving the failed purchase and shipment of auto spare parts from the United States.
Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, stated on Thursday that the suspects — George Ali, Anthony Ali and Simon Ali — were charged by the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB), Abuja, on allegations of criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and obtaining by false pretences.
According to the police, investigations showed that the complainant transferred $100,000 to the suspects in 2009 for the procurement and shipment of auto spare parts from the United States. The funds were allegedly diverted after the transaction was not executed as agreed.
The suspects were arraigned before Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Court 6, Maitama, Abuja, following investigations by operatives of INTERPOL NCB Abuja.
The case was adjourned until December 3, 2026, for further hearing.
The police said they remain committed to investigating financial crimes and ensuring that suspects are prosecuted in accordance with the law.
