PSC Chair Reiterates Commitment To Welfare Of Police Officers

The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, PSC, and former Police Chief, Dr. Solomon Arase, has reiterated the commitment of the Commission under his leadership to the welfare of police officers in the country.

Arase gave the assurances on Wednesday, 12 April 2023, when he met with Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, and other retired police chiefs at the PSC Corporate Headquarters, Jabi, Abuja.

The meeting, which was at the instance of the PSC Chairman, was to discuss issues affecting the Commission and the Police Force, as well as draw from the wealth of experiences of the retired officers who have at various times piloted the affairs of the Nigeria Police Force, and the Commission.

IGP Baba, on his part, gave assurances of the commitment of the Force under the current leadership to positive collaborations with the Commission for effective implementation of the Police Reform agenda, even as he appreciated the PSC Chairman for the thoughtfulness in assembling the eggheads for the laudable meeting.

The retired IGP’s who graced the meeting included IGP Sunday Ehindero (Rtd.), IGP Mike Mbama Okiro (Rtd.); IGP Ogbonna O. Onovo (Rtd.) and IGP Suleiman Abba (Rtd).
