Report Of Alleged National Blackout, False, Misleading -TCN

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has described the alleged report of national blackout as false and totally misleading.

TCN’s management in statement on Tuesday, said, the Daily Post report of national blackout attributed to the Head of Public Affairs of TCN was false, as such statement did not come from the office.

TCN noted that the nation’s grid was intact and supplying bulk electricity to distribution load centers nationwide.

It said, as at when issuing this statement, the TCN National Control Centre Osogbo in Osun State, which controls bulk power transmission nationwide, is actively operational.

“We would appreciate that reports are made with a sense of responsibility not just to cause panic”, TCN said.
