New Permanent Secretary Assumes Office At Aviation Ministry, Calls For Collaboration

The new Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development,Dr. Yakubu Kofarmata has assumed office,calling for strengthened collaboration among staff, agencies, and stakeholders to drive sectoral growth.

Kofarmata emphasized the need for collective effort, stating, “The Ministry cannot operate in isolation, and teamwork is essential to achieving greater impact and advancing our aviation and aerospace development goals.”

He assured staff of his commitment to staff development, professionalism, and welfare, building on the foundation laid by his predecessor, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana.

Kana, who has stepped down, described the Ministry as having highly capable personnel and urged staff to support the new Permanent Secretary.

The Director of Air Traffic Management praised Kana’s leadership and welcomed Kofarmata, assuring him of management and staff support.

The event featured the formal handover ceremony.
