No Casualty After Air Peace Runway Incident In Port Harcourt -FAAN

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed that no casualty was recorded in the Port Harcourt runway incident involving Air Peace’s flight P47190 from Lagos.

FAAN’s Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection Mrs Obiageli Orah, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

According to the authority, the aircraft overshot runway 03 upon landing in Port Harcourt.

The statement said, “Airpeace flight P47190, registration number 5N-BQQ, departed from Lagos (LOS) and landed at Port Harcourt International Airport (PHIA) at approximately 0745 hours. The aircraft overshot runway 03 upon landing.

“We are relieved to report that there were no casualties. Evacuation of the 127 passengers has been completed safely with no casualties,”.

However FAAN has urged passengers to “In the interim, please plan for flight delays for any departing flights to Port Harcourt . Further details will be provided as they become available,”.

FAAN reiterated its commititment to the safety and security of air passengers.
