Nigerian Navy Gears Up For 66th Anniversary Celebration

All is set for the celebration of the 66th Anniversary of the Nigerian Navy, NN.

The Service’s Director of Information, DINFO, Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan, disclosed this in a statement Thursday, 19 May, 2022.

TheFact Nigeria reports that the NN has series of activities lined up for the week-long celebration, which begins from Tuesday, 24 May to Wednesday, 1 June, 2022.

Furthermore, a press briefing was scheduled to precede the celebration in order to keep the general public abreast of the various events of the 2022 NN Week celebration, as well as acquaint the general public with the Service’s recent efforts at securing the nation’s maritime environment for national economic prosperity.

The Nigerian Navy, a branch of the Nigerian Armed Forces, is among the largest navies on the African continent, consisting of several thousand personnel, including those of the Coast Guard. It was founded in 1956.
