The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has clarified that its proposed training programme for airport firefighters is not an online only initiative but a hybrid model combining virtual learning with classroom instruction and practical field exercises.
This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire.
FAAN explained that the programme is structured as a six-week course integrating virtual sessions, classroom lectures and hands on practical drills.
According to the Authority, the hybrid or blended learning approach reflects modern global training practices and is designed to strengthen the competence of Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) personnel.
