NAF Airstrikes Obliterate Terrorist Strongholds In Mandara Mountains

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, has sustained its counter-terrorism momentum with a decisive Air Interdiction strike carried out on 27 April 2026 at Guduf in the Mandara Mountains, a known terrorist enclave.
NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame disclosed this on Tuesday.
He said that the NAF assets, acting on credible intelligence and confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), executed a coordinated operation that identified and targeted multiple terrorist structures and logistics hubs supporting insurgent activities in the area.
The operation employed precision targeting and strict adherence to rules of engagement, ensuring the neutralisation of hostile elements and destruction of their infrastructure with minimal risk to civilians and the environment.
The strike led to the destruction of key terrorist structures and logistics hubs, significantly degrading insurgents’ operational capability and reinforcing the NAF’s sustained efforts to deny criminal elements freedom of action while safeguarding national security.
