Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol Gantry Price To N1,125 Per Litre

By Sunday Etuka

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a further reduction in the gantry price of petrol, beginning the price down from N1,175 to N1,125 per litre.

The reduction of N50 per litre is the latest in a series of adjustments by the refinery, which it said reflects its responsiveness to prevailing market conditions and its drive to pass on cost efficiencies to downstream partners and consumers.

In a statement, the refinery said the review underscores its commitment to ensuring price stability, improving affordability and supporting Nigeria’s energy security objectives.

Dangote refinery added that it remains focused on contributing to the economy, enhancing fuel availability and fostering a more competitive and sustainable petroleum sector in the country.

The gantry price is the rate at which petroleum products are loaded at the refinery for onward distribution and typically influences the pump price that consumers pay at the filing stations across the country.

The latest reduction is expected to provide some relief to marketers and, potentially, end consumers, amid ongoing concerns about fuel affordability in Nigeria.
