DataPro To Hold One-Week Enterprise Risk Management Bootcamp In Lagos

DataPro, one of Nigeria’s three licensed credit rating agencies, is set to hold an intensive one-week Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) bootcamp for risk and finance professionals from August 3 to 7, 2026, at its academy in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The face-to-face training programme, theme “A-Z of ERM” was designed to equip participants with the technical expertise and enterprise-wide perspective needed to consolidate credit, market, operational, compliance, and liquidity risks into a cohesive ERM framework, while meeting both local and international regulatory requirements.

According to the company, the bootcamp would take participants through the full spectrum of enterprise risk management, covering five intensive daily modules. Day one focuses on ERM governance and strategy, including the Three Lines Defence model and risk appetite frameworks.

Day two addresses credit underwriting and risk management, including IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations. Day covers operational risk management processes, while day four tackles market and liquidity risk, including Value at Risk (VaR) and stress testing.

The final day covers Asset and Liability Management (ALM) and energising risks such as climate and environmental risk, cybersecurity and AI-related threats.
DataPro disclosed that participants would undertake macro-prudential stress testing simulations involving scenarios such as severe currency devaluation and hyper-inflation to test capital adequacy under pressure.

The programme is targeted at Chief Risk Officers, risk managers and officers, finance and treasury officers, compliance staff, senior management and board members. It runs daily from 9am to 5pm at DataPro Academy, 34A, Awori Street, Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, at a fee of N500,000 per participant.

Speaking on the programme, DataPro Managing Director and CEO, Abimbola Adeseyoju, said the bootcamp was designed to elevate risk professionals from operational executors to strategic enterprise risk leaders, building the technical proficiency, regulatory fluency, and cultural authority needed to drive informed decision-making across institutions.
