NEMA Distributes Relief Materials To 982 Ibadan Market Fire Victims
…Receives Chad Basin Stakeholders On Peace, Security
The National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), has distributed relief materials to 982 persons who were affected by the fire outbreak at the Shasha market in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The distribution was done according to approval by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The distributed items were mostly food which included bags of rice, beans, garri, cartons of seasoning cubes, vegetable oil, salt and tin tomato.
This information was obtained from the official Twitter handle of NEMA, @nemanigeria on Thursday.

“The items distributed were bags of rice, beans, garri, cartons of seasoning cubes, vegetable oil, salt and tin tomato.
“The direct distribution was carried out in collaboration with Oyo State Emergency Management Agency(SEMA) in the presence of leaders of the Community and the Market.”
Similarly, the disaster management Agency also revealed that its Director General, AVM MA Muhammed on Tuesday, had received in audience, stakeholders on peace, security and humanitarian challenges in the Lake Chad Basin area.
The team was at NEMA as part of the working-level mission of the UNOWAS and UNOCA to the Lake Chad Basin Countries to consult with relevant stakeholders.
