TheFact Daily reports that on April 12, Owowoh graduated from the RMAS as the first-ever Nigerian female officer.
In 2018, Owowoh joined the NDA in Kaduna where she was appointed as a cadet lance corporal in her second year.

She rose to a cadet sergeant in her fourth year and was appointed company senior under Officer Charlie (CSUO C) in her fifth year.

Owowoh held the appointment with two other female counterparts and made history as the first female to assume the position of CSUO in the academy.

In her fourth year, she also completed the academics wing of the commissioning course and achieved first-class honours in biological sciences.

The First Lady commended the Nigerian Army for giving a female the chance to excel. She further encouraged the nation’s youth to emulate Owowoh’s resilience, and cautioned them to desist from being destructive, lousy and problematic.

While recommending Owowoh for a national award, Senator Tinubu encouraged her superiors to encourage her to become a youth advocate for others to learn positively from her.

Earlier, the NDA Commandant, Maj Gen John Ochai, had said that Owowoh’s outstanding performance, marks history amidst countries like India, Pakistan, Qatar, UK, Canada, Australia and others, who brought their best to be trained in that institution where she succeeded.
