IGP To Discuss Internal Security Management At Ibadan University Inaugural Lecture

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, is set to deliver the inaugural Personality Lecture at the University of Ibadan.
According to the Force PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Sunday, the lecture is scheduled to take place on June 3rd at the University’s Trenchard Hall.
Titled “The Nigeria Police Force and the Management of Internal Security”, the lecture will be focusing on the role of the NPF in managing crisis situations in the country.
“This landmark event will see IGP Egbetokun addressing a distinguished audience comprising academic scholars, security experts, students, and members of the public, while delving into the intricate challenges of managing internal security in Nigeria, offering insights into contemporary strategies and innovative solutions being implemented to address these challenges effectively”, Adejobi stated.
The Personality Lecture, which is organized by the TETFUND Centre of Excellence in Multidisciplinary Studies of the University of Ibadan, is designed to bridge the gap between academia and practical reality. It will also provide a platform for robust discussions and the exchange of ideas on improving the security landscape in the country.
The personality lecture with Prof. K. O. Adebowale, as chief host, and Dr. Benjamin Aluko, as host, will have in attendance Prof. Babajide Owoeye, as Special Guest of Honour and Prof. Adigun Agbaje as Chairman.
