The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported two suspected cases of Ebola disease in the nation’s North-East region.
The agency announced this in a post on their official X handle, @NCDCgov on Saturday.
According to the post, ” being classified as suspected cases does not mean they are confirmed Ebola cases; confirmation is subject to laboratory results”.
They advised the public to maintain good hand hygiene, practice enhanced sanitation and follow guidance from public health authorities.
“Further updates will be provided as verified information becomes available”, the NCDC said.
