The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has raised alarm over fraudulent recruitment advertisements being circulated online by unidentified persons falsely claiming to represent the Commission.
In a statement on Friday by its management, NAICOM described the advertisement as false and misleading, stressing that it has not authorised any recruitment exercise through the platform in question or through any other unofficial channel.
The Commission urged members of the public to disregard the advertisement entirely and warned against submitting personal information or making payment in response to it.
It advised Nigerians to rely only on its verified website and other recognised government platforms for accurate information on job openings and other official activities.
NAICOM reiterated that it does not conduct recruitment through unofficial or unverified online links, noting that genuine employment opportunities are always announced through reputable and authorised channels.
The Commission further cautioned that those behind the spread of such fraudulent advertisements are engaging in unlawful conduct and risk facing legal action.
It called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious recruitment claims to the relevant authorities.
