The Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Alkali has condoled with the Emir of Dukku, Haruna Rashid, over the recent demise of the District Head of Wuro Tale, Adamu Yerima.
Senator Alkali’s condolence message was contained in a statement on Sunday by the minister’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Umar Jibril.
Condoling the traditional ruler, the Minister described the deceased as a distinguished public servant who served Nigeria with due diligence as Former Member of the House of Representatives in the second Republic and respected community leader until his demise.
“The death of Alh. Adamu Yerima is an irreparable loss not only to his immediate family but to Gombe state and Nigeria as a whole given his immense contribution to nation building.
“He was a man of honour, discipline and selfless service whose legacies will remain indelible in our hearts”, the minister said.
Sen. Said Alkali Prayed that God should grant the bereaved family, fortitude to bear the loss.
Responding, the Emir of Dukku, Haruna Rashid expressed gratitude for the visit, praying Allah to reward the Minister abundantly.
The Emir who described death as inevitable on all mortals, reminded people to be righteous at all times to enable them reap their good deeds in the hereafter.
