Following the impeachment of Philip Shaibu as Edo State Deputy Governor, the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has appointed Omobayo Marvellous as his deputy.
The 38-year-old Omobayo Marvellous hails from Akoko-Edo, Edo North Senatorial District of the state.
TheFact Daily had earlier reported the impeachment of Shaibu by the State House of Assembly.
This was after the Assembly adopted the report of a seven-member probe panel set up by Chief Judge of the state, Justice Daniel Okungbowa,
to probe allegations of gross misconduct against him.
The panel waited for Shaibu to defend himself of the allegations levelled against him, but did not show up, so it ended its sitting on Friday.
However, Governor Obaseki is set to swear in Omobayo as Deputy Governor today at the Dennis Osadebey, Government House
