Super Eagles Fail To Fly Against E’Guinea In Côte d’Ivoire

The Super Eagles of Nigeria and the National Thunder of Equatorial Guinea on Sunday played a 1-1 draw to start the 2023 Edition of the African Cup of Nations on a disappointing note.

A goal in the early minutes from E’Guinea’s Edu Evan Salvador threw the Super Eagles off balance, however, a decisive header from Victor Osimhen levelled the score at a 1-1 draw.

Before the Match, all the predictions were in favour of the Super Eagles because of the quality of players in the team.

However, with the draw against Equatorial Guinea, the Super Eagles must work harder in the remaining matches if they must win any medals from the tournament.

Hopefully, the National Team will add more tact and finesse in subsequent matches to change the result.

Recall that the host, Ivory Coast defeated Guinea Bissau 2-0 yesterday to begin the tournament on an impressive note.

With the draw between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast is now comfortable on top of Group A with three points.
