Electricity consumers in parts of Abuja should expect a temporary power outage today, Wednesday, September 23, as the Transmission Company of Nigeria carries out scheduled maintenance at the Central Area GIS 132/33kV Transmission Substation.
TCN said its maintenance crew will conduct routine preventive checks on a 100MVA power transformer and its associated switchgear between 10:00am and 4:00pm.
As a result, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company will be unable to supply power to customers in Wuse Zones 1 to 7, Sheraton Hotel, the Central Business District, Utako, Jabi and surrounding areas during the exercise.

TCN apologised for the inconvenience the planned outage will cause affected consumers.
