Police Foil Planned Kidnap In Adamawa
Operatives of Adamawa State Police Command attached to Yolde Pate Divisional Police Headquarters, have averted a planned kidnap by unscrupulous persons.
The State Command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
TheFact Daily gathers that the operatives were conducting a confidence-building patrol along Yola -Yadim Road, when they intercepted a vehicle with registration number GME 235 AE, and with three occupants.
The driver upon citing the security check, attempted to bypass the check but was chased into a corner by the operatives. This left the suspects with no other choice than to abandon the vehicle to escape arrest.
A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of two daggers, a chain, a padlock, and some charms suspected to be used in perpetrating the kidnapping.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Afolabi Babatola, has assured that the Command will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that criminals are not allowed to operate anywhere within the State.
He calls on members of the public to give timely information to police, especially those on the run.
