The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) has clarified that its scholarship selection process is conducted through a rigorous and merit-based approach, and not an allocation of slots.
PTDF’s Head of Press and External Relations, Kay-Hambolu Dupe Bella, made the clarification in a statement on Monday, February 12, 2024.
The Fund noted that it ensures fairness and transparency in the scholarship selection process, and does not allocate scholarship slots to individuals or third parties.
It, therefore, urged applicants to be cautious of any individuals or entities claiming to have the authority to secure PTDF scholarship slots in exchange for payment, warning that SUCH CLAIMS ARE FALSE AND UNAUTHORIZED.
“PTDF reiterates its commitment to providing equal opportunities to all eligible candidates based on merit. The fund does not endorse or support any form of payment for scholarship slots.
