NIPOST Reaffirms Commitment To Customer Service

The Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST)Tola Odeyemi, has reiterated the organization’s commitment to prioritizing customer service.

Odeyemi stated this on Tuesday at the NIPOST 2024 SERVICOM Customer Service Week, themed: “Above and Beyond.”

The week-long celebration focused on reinforcing NIPOST’s dedication, recognizing, and honouring the essential contributions of customer service professionals, highlighting their commitment to delivering exceptional services, and enhancing customer experiences.

The Postmaster General of the Federation commended the efforts of the SERVICOM team and all other staff across the Federation for their commitment, hard-work, and dedication to duty.

Ms. Odeyemi stated that “together, we can redefine the standards of service excellence in NIPOST and in Nigeria, ” she said.

Earlier, the National Coordinator SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, in a keynote address, called for a unified effort to improve service delivery across all levels of the postal services.

She said the objective for celebrating Customer Service Week is the recognition of hard work and dedication of staff who go the extra mile and strive to create positive customer experiences.

It is also a platform for building customer loyalty and satisfaction amongst stakeholders who come to receive or take services, she added.

According to Akajemeli, the “Quality of Above and Beyond” are empathy, understanding, and addressing customer emotional needs rather than exhibiting preferences to selected customers.

“Our customers deserve nothing less than our best,” she emphasized, urging staff to embrace a spirit of TEAM (Together Each Achieve More).

The event recognized outstanding employees, including Charles Akor, Focal Officer of Finance & Accounts, and Emeka Olu, FCT SERVICOM Desk Officer, for their exemplary dedication to duty. Their contributions have significantly enhanced NIPOST’s service delivery, embodying the essence of going “Above and Beyond.”

As NIPOST concludes the celebration of the year 2024 SERVICOM Customer Service Week, the focus remains fostering a culture of excellence that prioritizes customer needs and expectations, guiding the organization in its commitment to exceptional service delivery focusing on its vision of “Connecting Nigeria, Delivering Solutions, and Impacting lives”.

Highlights of the occasion was a presentation of SERVICOM Report in NIPOST from January to September 2024 by the NODAL Officer, Mrs. Nayi Felicia Na’andati, and a lecture delivered by the Head of Operations, SERVICOM, Mrs. Ngozi Akinbodewa.
