By Sunday Etuka, Abuja

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has fined the suspended lawmaker representing Kogi Central, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, N5 million for contempt.

In a ruling delivered on Friday by Justice Binta Nyako, the Court said that the embattled lawmaker violated its order to all the parties to refrain from making further comments in the media.

It held that the said apology, which she published on her Facebook page on April 7, where she threw satirical jab at the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio that she came to the National Assembly through election and NOT ” erection”, made a mockery of the gag order.
