NSCDC Commandant-General Audi Retires from Service

The Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Audi, has retired from service after attaining the mandatory retirement age and completing his tenure.

Audi, who assumed office on March 1, 2021, following his appointment by former President Muhammadu Buhari, formally bowed out on Friday.

He marked his final day in office during activities commemorating the 2026 World Civil Defence Day at the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja.

The Federal Government is yet to announce his successor.

Born on September 30, 1967, in Nasarawa State, Audi holds a PhD in Public Administration from Nasarawa State University and a Master’s degree in Public Business Administration from the University of Calabar. He is also a member of the National Institute (mni).
