Army Troops, Police Personnel Rescue Two Kidnapped Corpers In Katsina

Efforts of a joint team of Army and Police personnel have led to the rescue of two female Corps members in Katsina State.

Disclosing this in a statement on Friday, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu said the joint operation was conducted on Thursday, 2 November, 2023.

TheFact Daily learns that the Corpers were abducted in the Yargoje community in the Kankara local government area of Katsina State while on transit from Edo State, and were rescued by troops of the 17 Brigade Nigerian Army in collaboration with the Nigeria Police.

“The rescued Corps members have been offered necessary medical attention and support to ensure their physical and emotional well-being and are currently in the custody of the Nigerian Police in Kankara”, Nwachukwu stated.
