Defence College, Fire Service To Build Capacity On Fire Management

The Defence Intelligence College (DIC) has offered to provide trainings for staff of the Federal Fire Service to uphold the mutual mandate of keeping the environments in the country safe from life-threatening and non-life-threatening fire and related risks.

The Commandant of DIC, Rear Admiral J.A. Nwagu, made this known when he paid a courtesy visit to the Controller General (CG) of Federal Fire Service, Engr Jaji O. Abdulganiyu, on Wednesday in Abuja.

In his address, the Commandant stressed the necessity of an effective Fire Service and how an enhanced service delivery can be achieved through sustained collaborative efforts from both the DIC and the FFS.

The CGF in his response expressed delight in the visit of the Rear Admiral, and appreciated him for his commitment towards building on the existing relationship between both agencies.

He said that in a bid to return a favour enjoyed from the military in times past, he would give some support to the next Passing Out Parade of the DIC promising to be in attendance personally.

The CGF averred the need for the mutual relationship between both organisations to grow stronger in the interest of the nation.
