The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has dismissed five volunteer personnel over allegations of unethical conduct, unprofessionalism, and gross indiscipline.

According to the statement, the State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, approved the dismissal after the personnel were found to have engaged in conduct that contravened the Corps’ values, ethics, and operational standards.

“The State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, approved the dismissal of the five volunteer personnel over misconduct, which is contrary to the Corps’ values, ethics and operational standards,” the statement read.

The Command further announced that all uniforms, identification materials, accoutrements, and other official kits previously issued to the dismissed personnel had been withdrawn and confiscated.

Agalama directed area commanders, divisional officers, and other relevant personnel across the state to take note of the dismissal and ensure that the affected individuals are neither recognised nor engaged in any official capacity on behalf of the Corps.

Reaffirming the Command’s zero-tolerance policy on indiscipline, the Commandant warned that any officer or volunteer whose actions undermine the image and integrity of the Corps would face appropriate sanctions.

He stressed that the Kano State Command remains committed to upholding professionalism, integrity, and effective service delivery in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.
