Electricity customers in Uyo, Eket, Ikot Abasi, Etinan, Ikot Ekpene and Onna will be without power today, October 31, 2026, as the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) carries out scheduled maintenance on the Uyo-Itu 132kV transmission line.
TCN announced in a statement on Saturday that its maintenance crew will work on the line from 10am to 4pm, during which the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC) will be unable to take electricity from the grid for supply to customers in the affected areas.
The areas affected are Eket, Ikot Abasi, Etinan, Ikot Ekpene, Onna and the Uyo Complex.

In a notice signed by its management and dated October 31, 2026, TCN apologised to customers for any inconvenience the exercise may cause.
