NRC Confirms Attack on Abuja- Kaduna Train

The Nigerian Railway Corporation ( NRC), Monday night, confirmed a bomb attack on Abuja- Kaduna train by suspected terrorists.

The Managing Director of the corporation, Fidet Okhiria who confirmed the development, said not much information could be given as at the time of filing this report.

TheFact Nigeria gathered that There are at least 970 passengers onboard the train.

In a terse statement, Okhiria said: “We can not give you much information now.

“Most of the passengers have gone into hiding and the can not be giving information, but there are reports of gun shots, continues gun shot as the train stopped”.

However, sources claimed that the attack occurred between Katari and Rijana.

A passenger, who confirmed the attack, said:
“All the passengers are currently lying on the floor of the train.

“The bandits are shooting sporadically. We are in serious danger”.
