Electricity customers in Ehor, Uzebba, Ubiaja, Ekpoma and Agbor would experience supply interruptions on Monday and Tuesday as the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) carries out maintenance work at its Irrua 132/33kV Transmission Substation.
In a notice signed by its management, TCN said its crew will work on the 100MVA transformer at the substation on 2 and 3 November 2026, between 10:00am and 5:00pm each day.
The company explained that the exercise will allow its contractors to commission the SERGI fire protection system installed on the transformer.
As a result, it said the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) will not be able to take bulk power from the substation for onward supply to customers on the Ehor, Uzebba, Ubiaja, Ekpoma and Agbor 33kV feeders for the duration of the work.
TCN apologised to electricity customers in the affected areas for any inconvenience the planned maintenance may cause.
