This is even as the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, yesterday departed for Benue to lead operations against invaders and to stanch the incessant killings that have been going on in the state.

Air Marshal Abubakar made the reaffirmation during the Second Quarter Route March held on Wednesday June 4, 2025, in Abuja.

“We will continue to defend every inch of our nation’s airspace and stand firm in joint operations to protect lives and property across the country,” he declared, adding, “Rest assured, that your protection is not just an obligation, it is our highest priority.”

He said the NAF is unwavering in its resolve to tackle security challenges head-on, and issued a stern warning to enemies of the nation, including insurgents, terrorists, and bandits, saying there will be no hiding place for those who threaten the peace and stability of Nigeria.

“We are coming for you. We will find you and take you out”, he vowed.

The CAS, in a bid to enhance operational readiness, emphasized the importance of physical fitness tests in the NAF, saying that physical fitness is no longer a matter of choice, but a non-negotiable requirement.

The NAF’s quarterly route march, conducted across all units, is designed to build endurance, foster comradeship, and sustain the physical conditioning necessary for modern military operations.

“Those who persevere, who stay the course with discipline, focus, and resilience, will ultimately arrive at the destination. And that destination, ladies and gentlemen, is the place of victory”, the Air Chief said.
