PDP Flags Off Grassroots Mobilisation In Kaduna

The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) on Monday, held a maiden grassroots mobilization flag off event in the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria.

At the event, organized by the PDP, National Youth Agenda, Party stakeholders used the opportunity to call on the youths and women to get their Permanent Voter card (PVC), saying it was the only tool the region had to salvage it from the economic, educational and political crises.

TheFact Nigeria learned that representative of the state Chairman of PDP, Hon. Hassan Felix Hyat said it was not too late for the region, as the 2023 elections draw near, the people of the region could correct their mistakes by supporting a good and better candidate.

He said: “When you look at during PDP’s rule for 16 years, the North only ruled for three years, so if you look at it that way, PDP has lost. Economically, Educationally, what are the positions of the north; Nothing. Security, when you look at the economy and education, because of the insecurity, our children cannot go to school because the schools are not secure.

“The North is backward, we also lost in the aspect of politics, we don’t have the power, so it is the power that we will use to encourage the masses or to strike a balance, it is only with the power that all these can be corrected”.

Chairman, PDP National Youth Agenda, Kaduna state, Comrade Ahmad Ashir said, the reason for the flag off of the grassroots mobilization was to advocate on behalf of the PDP and show that the party was now alive and also mobilizing mass voters ahead of 2023.

He said the youths were the agents of change and therefore must change the “Change” with their PVCs come 2023 and failure to do so would translate to the continuation of the ‘unmitigated disaster of the APC administration’.

He said, “Kaduna state youth, we must become the army of truth and freedom. As youth, we must become prepared to not only vote, but protect our votes because our vote is the guarantee we have a better today and a secured tomorrow

“This time around, it is our duty as youths, to fight for the rescue of our Democracy. This democracy is ours; therefore we must do all we can legally, and within just law, to rescue our democracy from APC and hand it over to the only youth friendly political party with the will, reform, blueprint, and national structure necessary to rebuild our battered state, country and economy.
