Residents in parts of Kubwa, Suleja, Bwari and surrounding areas are to face electricity supply disruption as the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) carried out scheduled maintenance work at its Katampe 330/33kV Transmission Substation in Abuja.
TCN, announced on Saturday in a statement signed by its General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, that the planned outage would run from 10:00am to 2:00pm, during which its maintenance crew worked on a 150MVA 330/133/33kV transformer and its associated switchgear at the facility.
TCN announced that as a result of the shutdown, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) would be unable to distribute bulk power supply to customers in the affected communities for the duration of the exercise.
The transmission company apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers supplied through the affected transformer.
